Occupation: Owner
Interests: my nieces, street fashion, high-end fashion, bargains, platforms, shopping, bike riding, makeup, styling, reading, designing, eating out, red wine, sketching, blogging, nyc and date nights!
Beauty tip: Take care of your eyebrows! If they aren't full and beautiful, then draw them in lightly. Mac has a great pencil that I live by. Also, make sure that after putting on your makeup, you still look like yourself when you are done. Nothing is worse than seeing someone in the morning who you don't recognize.
Fashion tip: Confidence is everything. Without it, you can't wear it. Also, always have rad shoes! You live once, funk it up!
Favorite pieces in your closet: My 1 rack full of designer clothes. I describe the rack as my baby.
Favorite fashion designers: Anna Sui, DVF, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Betsey Johnson, Helmut Lang, McQueen, Christopher Kane, Missoni, Prada, and Rag & Bone
What inspires you: People! I am the biggest people watcher known to man. I admire personal style, and appreciate originality! Personal style meaning: clothes, shoes, hair, makeup, tattoos, personality, confidence... etc! I could go on, I admire it all. NYC is the perfect place to watch. People are more willing to take risks, and push the envelope. Straight up.
Where do you shop: Anywhere that gives me a good deal. I hate being ripped off! With that being said... Sample sales, thrift stores, boutiques, online, and etc.
Fashion icon: Dani Stahl, hands down!
Favorite place to hang out: Broadway St in Soho (not on the weekend), it has every thing a girl needs!
Favorite blogs: Keiko Lynn, Le blog de betty, Man Repeller, A beautiful mess, Bleach black, Natalie off duty, sooo many!
What would be your advice to girls starting out in the fashion industry?
Nothing comes easy. You have to want it more than any other person out there that loves fashion. Be determined! Also, you must have a passion inside of you, that is willing to fight and not give up on your dreams. I remember being in fashion school, and knowing I had more passion than any other girl in my class. Whether it was true or not, I believed it... and that is why I am here today doing what I love.
